The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is soliciting bids for the appraisal of approximately 437± acres in Whitman County located 17 miles north of Colfax and adjacent to Steptoe Butte State Park. DNR is interested in acquiring this property for inclusion in the Steptoe Butte Natural Area (NA). The acquisition will be funded by grant funds from the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) through the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO).
