The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Eunice Kennedy Shriver, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing 1100 hours of statistical work.

The study entitled the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC cohort) enrolled 14,500 pregnancies and has followed the mothers, fathers and offspring for more than 30 years. It is unique in its scope of scientific detail and in being representative of the UK. For this project, data are linked to the fatty acid compositional data from umbilical cord and serum from age 7 which has been provided by the Section of Nutritional Neurosciences, Laboratory of Membrane Biophysics and Biochemistry, DICBR, NIAAA and to trace metal analyses provided through a prior collaborative arrangement. The Section on Nutritional Neurosciences, NIAAA has been collaborating with this group for 15 years to develop this dataset. SNN, NIAAA has provided fatty acid assays of nearly 10,000 plasma samples which are uniquely linked to this dataset.

The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 541380 with a size standard of $15.0M. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed 10 pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement, not to exceed 10 pages, should include references.
