This projects consists of cleaning, site preparation and staining of an elevated bird viewing shelter at the Starrigavan Recreation Area in Sitka, Alaska. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to perform all work. This shelter is located at the edge of a saltwater estuary. Cleaning shall include a catch system for collecting any loose flecks of previous stain and cleaning chemicals from reaching the surrounding environment. Staining will be applied with a roller and/or brush method. Running water, electrical power, secure storage and secure overnight parking for vehicles, trailers is not available on site.

A Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation is issued.

PROJECT LOCATION
Sitka Ranger District, 204 Siginaka Way, Sitka, Alaska 99835. The work will be performed at the Starrigavan Bird Viewing Deck located in Starrigavan Recreation Area.

CONTRACT TYPE
The contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Construction Contract (Davis-Bacon Act).

DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT (FAR 36.204)
Between $25,000 - $100,000

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
Work to be completed by July 31, 2016.

BONDS
Alternate Payment Protections will be required in accordance to FAR clause 52.228-13.
