1. A DRAFT of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached for review. The release of the solicitation PWS for a Hanscom AFB services contract is anticipated in May 2012.

2. DoD STARBASE is a premier educational program, sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. At Department of Defense (DoD) STARBASE students participate in challenging "hands-on, mind-on" activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). They interact with military personnel to explore careers and observe STEM applications in the "real world." The program provides students with 20-25 hours of stimulating experiences at National Guard, Navy, Marine, Air Force Reserve and Air Force bases across the nation.

3. The duration of this contract including all options is anticipated to be 5 years.

4. An industry forum will not be held for this project. After release of the final PWS but prior to the submission of proposals there will be an opportunity for a site visit by prospective offerors. The proposed date, time and point-of-contact for the site visit will be subsequently identified.

5. The draft PWS is for informational purposes only and any response is not an offer. The draft PWS does not commit the Government to contract for services, or to pay any costs incurred in preparation of any submission in response to the draft PWS.

6. Each contractor has until close of business on Monday May 7, 2012 to submit questions and comments to the Government for review and consideration.
