1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought notice, so please do not submit proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice.

2. If the government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your responses to this sources sought notice may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary.

3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents.

4. Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this sources sought.
To assist the Government in developing a potential acquisition strategy, please provide the following information:

1. GENERAL INFORMATION:

a. Company's full name, business size, address, point of contact and telephone number.

2. CAPABILITIES: Please address the following regarding your capabilities in meeting the requirements contained in the attached "draft" SOR:

a. Is your company capable of providing the Standalone Secret Network solution in the attached SOR Please respond "Yes or No."

b. If your response to "a." is yes, what brand of Standalone Secret Network solution is available under your contract that can meet the Government's requirement?

c. The Government has a requirement for virtualization software as described in paragraph . If your company can meet this requirement, is there any other brand other than VMware your company can provide to meet this requirement in accordance with the attached "draft" SOR?

1) If you can provide software and licenses other than VMWare to meet the requirement, please provide product information, and address the following:
1. Can the alternative product ensure zero degradation of operations on the standalone network of software tested on a developmental network which is in a VMware environment?

STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT
STANDALONE SECRET NETWORK

1.0 SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENT. THIS REQUIREMENT IS FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN HPE BLADE SERVER SYSTEM WITH NETWORK STORAGE, AND VMWARE SOFTWARE TO PROVIDE A ZERO CLIENT INFRASTRUCTURE ON A STANDALONE SECRET NETWORK IN LEMAY CENTER/WG.

2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS.

2.1 Blade Server Enclosure System (replacing existing HPE BLc7000
2.1.1 Blade Servers (latest generation), to replace existing HPE BL460C, with required modules/parts, Quantity 16
2.1.2 Gigabit Pass-through Modules
2.1.3 Brocade SAN Switch
2.1.4 Virtual Connect Modules

2.2 Network Storage

2.2.1 Multi-tiered with minimum 40TB usable disk space after RAID 5
2.2.2 Multi-tiered drives; SSD and/or 15K SAS, 15K and/or 10K SAS, 7.2K SAS drives
2.2.3 Capable of connecting to Brocade 4/24 SAN switch for HP c-Class Blade System
2.2.4 4GB fiber channel switch
2.2.5 Dual redundant controllers with minimum of 16GB memory per controller, 2x 6GB SAS ports per controller
2.2.6 Support multiple levels of RAID (0, 1, 5, 6 RAID 10 and RAID 10 DM)

2.3 VMware Software

2.3.1 VMware vCenter
2.3.2 VMware vSphere
2.4 Installation: Contractor shall install all equipment and software to ensure full system functionality prior to project completion.
