The USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center, Albany, California has a requirement for one stability refrigerator of 72-85 cu ft that must maintain temperatures of -20 degrees C to +15 degrees C and maintain 25-35% RH at +4 degrees C. Must have 3 sections with at least 4 shelves per section, each 24-1/8” W x 22-3/8”D; 12 shelves total adjustable in 1/2” increments. Internal dimensions 75-80”W x 24-30”D x 60-65”H. Temperature control +/- 0.3 degrees C and relative humidity control +/- 2% RH. System features to include temperature and humidity controllers with dual digital display, and high/low alarm with remote alarm dry contacts for connection to building monitoring system; continuous, proportional hot gas bypass control with 1 HP refrigeration system; continuous frost-free operation at +5 degrees C (no defrost cycles required); precision 3-wire +/- 0.01% Band 5-wire wound glass-coated platinum 100 ohm RTD temperature sensors; Vaisala precision humidity sensor; Munters Cargocaire rotary bed adsorption (desiccant) dehumidifier, capacity 0.3 lb/hr at 5 degrees C/40% RH (50cfm); resistive heat for responsive temperature control; rear wall plenum and high-speed commutated fan motors to ensure positive airflow throughout chamber; heated door frames to eliminate condensation; aluminum interior and exterior with stainless steel door and interior floor; keyed door lock (all units keyed alike); guaranteed validatable to FDA/ICH standards; at least 1-yr warranty on all parts, 6 mos labor.
