In accordance with the attached solicitation and Statement of Work, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard requires the supply of materials necessary for the repair and maintenance of the #1 and #2 Ships Service Turbine Generators (SSTGs) onboard a Virginia Class submarine. Specifically, materials are required for the replacement of the inboard and outboard thrust bearing stators and for the axial sensor and wirewall modifications.

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, and in accordance with the attached J&A, only one responsible source is capable of fulfilling this requirement.  Northrop Grumman Marine Systems (Cage Code 90099) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and thus owns the proprietary data – including drawings, equipment, and approved processes – required to perform this work.
