The Department will retain an engineering firm for a multiple phase, multiple work order, Project Specific-Open End Agreement to perform Alternatives Analysis, Preliminary Engineering, Final Design and Services during Construction for the SR 376, Section A76 Squirrel Hill Interchange project located in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, Interchange redesign to eliminate the Eastbound weave at the Squirrel Hill Interchange. The selected alternative will be concept 30B, 30B revised, 30C, 30C revised (See attachment for identified concepts from a previous study) or a variation or combination of elements from those concepts or another viable alternative identified by the selected consultant. Design services for the project will include, but are not be limited to: design schedule, alternatives analysis and development, traffic data collection and analysis, survey, right-of-way investigation and plan preparation, utility coordination, soil and geological investigation, erosion and sedimentation control, permits, structural analysis and design, drainage design, roadway design, maintenance and protection of traffic, pavement marking and signing plan, highway lighting, design field view, safety review, coordination with the Allegheny County Conservation District, PADEP and with municipal officials and the public.
