The Department of Transportation will retain an engineering firm for a Project Specific Agreement to perform Preliminary Engineering, Final Design, and Services During Construction for the following two structures: Replacement of the structure carrying SR 0136 Rainbow Run Road over Becketts Run (BMS No. 02-0136-0080-3035/BRKEY No. 959) in Forward Township, Allegheny County. Construction of a new structure on a new alignment that will carry SR 3015 Cochrans Mill Road over Lick Run (BMS No. 02-3015-0040-2094/BRKEY No. 1724) in South Park Township and Jefferson Hills Borough, Allegheny County. Scope will also include minor rehabilitation of the existing stone arch that is to remain in place (listed in the National Register of Historic Places) prior to it either being blocked off to all traffic or ownership relinquished to another entity. Additional scope of work for both bridges includes, but is not limited to, approach roadway reconstruction, and updating of existing guiderail and structure end-treatments to be MASH compliant. The projects may follow the Minor Projects Design Procedures.
