This is a PreSolicitation Notice, written in accordance with FAR Parts 5 and 6.  It is being written in order to maximize potential competition, and locate interested vendors.  The 48th Contracting Squadron is planning to solicit an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract for Sports Officiating Services for the RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall Youth and Adult Recreation Programs.  The contract shall also provide for the support of the Department of Defense Dependent Schools/Isles System at RAF Alconbury, RAF Lakenheath, and RAF Menwith Hill.  The contractor shall be obligated to provide a mixture of trained Sports Officials for Referee Services at these locations.  The contract shall be Non-Personal-Non-Instructional in nature.  The current Solicitation is intended to be posted for Review on or about 7 Oct 2008.  Interested Vendors are encouraged to contact the Primary Point of Contact for the latest information regarding this solicitation.  The scope of the work is estimated to include, but not be limited to, the following events:  American Football, American Soccer, (indoor and outdoor), Softball/Baseball, Basketball, and a collection of other events/activities.  The current format of the contract calls for a period of one base year, (running from 01 Dec 08 through 31 Sep 09), with four one year option periods.  Vendors should be encouraged to contact the below Primary POC for further information.  Again, this is only a PreSolicitation Notice, the formal Solicitation shall be posted on or about 07 Oct 2008.
