While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government has a requirement for quantity one (1) Teradyne 9100 Spectrum Superset Tester. A fixed price contract modification to add a line item to contract N00164-06-C-6815 is anticipated. This unit will be used in support of the Strategic Systems Program's (SSP) Trident II D5 Life Extension requirements. This modification will be issued on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The basis for restricting competition is that Teradyne, being the Original Equipment Manufacturer, is the only known source for each of the items that can satisfy the Government's requirements, and it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
