AHF Analysentechnik is the only vendor that can provide the sample introduction system in a sapphire material that will replace the quartz, thereby providing a Si free torch. AHF Analysentechnik is also the only vendor that will provide the PFA double pass spray chamber that is configured to work in tandem with a PEEK cyclonic spray chamber.
Not eliminating Si from the sample introduction system of the MC-ICP-MS will result in severe analytical error and schedule risk to a highly visible international project and will adversely impact the NIST mission. Since AHF Analysentechnik is the only vendor to provide the needed critical components for the sample introduction system, it is requested that the contract be awarded to AHF Analysentechnik.
