This is a request for information only. This is not a request for proposal and there is no solicitation package available at this time. The United States Air Force, 375 Contracting Squadron (LGCB), Scott Air Force Base, IL is seeking sources to provide sound baffling in four separate areas. Scott Air Force Base is conducting market research to determine the availability of business capable of providing sound baffling based on the description below.
1. Description of Services: Provide Sound Abatement or Sound Baffling in and around the perimeter of the A4O vault, an office, and the A4 conference room. Also provide sound baffling panels on one wall of the server room, floor to ceiling.
2. Project Description: Headquarters Air Mobility Command (HQ AMC) Directorate of Logistics (A4) is requesting the purchase and installation of sound baffling/abatement for the A4O vault, A4 Server room, an office area, and the conference room in Building 1600. AMC A4 operates a vault with classified information being processed and discussed. The conference room is used for both classified and unclassified meetings and also Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Defense Connect Online (DCO) that are also classified and unclassified. In the office area both classified and unclassified information is discussed. All areas mentioned are adjacent to open areas of the floor. The current drop ceiling in all areas contain no sound baffling other than standard heating and cooling insulation. Currently the sound from the conference room and the vault can travel through the walls and ceiling and a person outside of these rooms would be potentially be able to hear conversations and meetings taking place. AMC A4 needs to have sound baffling or sound abatement installed in these areas to eliminate or disrupt the sound transmission for the conference room, server room, office area, and the vault from leaving their respective areas. Material must meet all fire and safetly codes. Installation must be performed by trained personnel.
3. Hours of Operation: The work shall be performed during normal duty hours (7:30 A. M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday thru Friday).
4. Preparation: Vendor shall be responsible for reviewing the building site prior to installation. The beginning of installation implies acceptance of existing conditions.
5. Cleanup: The Vendor shall collect all trash, debris, refuse, garbage, etc., which they generate and remove it from the site. No dumpsters shall be required. Vendor shall remove all debris off-base.
6. Protection: The vendor shall take precautions to prevent damage to government property. The vendor shall repair or replace damaged items at no additional cost to the government.

375th Contracting Squadron is anticipating a firm fixed price contract.
