This is a Small business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources:(2) whether there are small businesses, HUBZONE small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses or (8a) small businesses, veteran- owned small business, woman-owned small businesses or small disadvantaged businesses veteran owned small businesses; woman owned businesses, or small disadvantaged businesses and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable code should not submit a response to this notice.

Background Information
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation's foremost federally funded biomedical research institution. It is comprised of twenty-seven Institutes, Centers and Divisions. The Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center is the on-site 267-bed hospital for the NIH campus comprised of clinical, laboratory and administrative staff who support the Institutes as they conduct clinical research working with inpatients and outpatients participating in research studies at the NIH. The Department of Peri-Operative Medicine (DPM) provides surgical services support for patients enrolled in the experimental protocols of several Institutes.

The Department of Critical care Medicine Services provides support for several research protocols that demand clinical investigation, research in animal model and molecular biology. The Clinical Center has a critical need to establish a contract for analysis of metabolomics from human volunteers to provide blood samples for research information and data analysis.

Purpose/Duties
The purpose of this notice is to obtain information of sorting wide range of cell sizes and application using the 70 m, and 130 micro fluids sorting chips using the devise of the SH 800 Laser disposition system, the software generates 3.1 files that also can be exported to third party analysis tools. The Sony single cell separator performs translational research evaluating the pathogenesis and treatment of high -consequence respiratory viral pathogens. Additionally, the equipment is a model of lung injury and sepsis to assess the efficiency of treatment for patients at the Clinical Center.

SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall indemnify the Government for any liability producing act or omission by the contractor during the contract performance. Contractors shall not be considered at any time employee of the Federal Government for any purpose. The contractor will perform close performance of the Sony lase equipment services, the service covers parts and labor for repairs to the SONY SH 800 cell sorter.
