The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract for supply and installation of two Sony Biotechnology MA900 Cell Sorters and biosafety cabinets from Sony Biotechnology. USDA contemplates a firm-fixed-price commercial supply contract. See attached justification for other than full and open competition and Specifications.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must contain information sufficient in detail to allow USDA to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Responses and questions must be submitted in writing and sent to Lisa Draves at [email protected] no later than noon on July 29. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
