The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, FL (NSWC PCD) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to HII Unmanned Systems, Inc (Hydroid Inc.). for the procurement of transponders.  The items in this procurement are in support of the SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV).  This procurement is sole source for the following reason:  this equipment is under configuration control and the transponders provided by Hydroid, Inc. are the only approved transponder.  If the Government were to identify and evaluate another system, perform the field-testing of the equipment, produce the required documentation and drawings would cause additional expense to the Government and significantly delays to the support of the SDV. Delivery will be F.O.B.
