The purpose of this announcement is a ratification of unauthorized commitment for software licenses & maintenance for products that support Connect: Direct on the NBC's IBM z/9 mainframe, from 10/01/07 to 09/30/10. Additionally the continued necessary coverage from 10/01/10 to 06/30/12.The Government believes this is proprietary software maintenance support maintained by Sterling Commerce/IBM, however, any vendor who believes they can provide this maintenance is encouraged to submit a quote NLT 07/08/2011 MST 12:00 PM.This notice represents the Governments only official notice of this procurement action. The Government intends to award a sole-source maintenance renewal contract to IBM.
