The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL) facility located in Ames, IA intends to issue a sole source, 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) award to Qiagen, Inc. located in Valencia, CA for specific molecular reagents and related supplies under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The Qiagen brand molecular reagents and related supplies (listed below) will be used by the laboratory to maintain established Agency testing protocols to meet specific ISO standards 17025 and 9001. Agency testing protocols have been validated using Qiagen molecular reagents and related supplies, and alternative brand supplies are not permissible for standardized protocols.
