The purpose of this notice is to inform all parties that the United StatesNavy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR SYSCOM) proposes todefinitize Lowest Replaceable Units (LRU) of the existing contractN00039-06-D-0004 for supporting Navy SATCOM systems on ship, shore, andsubmarine platforms. This Sole Source modification will be issued to RaytheonCompany, 1001 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, MA. The period of performance isfrom modification issued through 18 June 2011. The Government's estimatedtotal value of this contract is $3.4M. Sole Source authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1 willsatisfy the agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for thisrequirement is 541330. Numbered Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services forwhich the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sourceunder the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify theirinterest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Thisnotice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, allproposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued underan existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of thissynopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by theGovernment not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses tothis notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informationreceived will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determiningwhether to conduct a competitive procurement.
