This is NOT a request for quote-

USDA-ARS, Pullman, WA intends to award a sole source purchase order to Roche Diagnostics Corporation for the service and maintenance of a Discovery XT.

Roche is the manufacturer and only authorized dealer for repairs and maintenance for the Discovery XT.  This is a follow on contract for a service agreement with a base year plus 4 option years.

Our justification to award is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
