The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Eagle Hydraulics for the following parts: Fabricate 3 Diesel fuel flex hoses, 14 new buoy chain inhaul winch hydraulic hoses, 19 new cargo hatch hydraulic flex hoses, 24 hydraulic hoses for cross deck winches and fabricate 99 flex hoses for Main Engine and Generators are to be received by USCGC Sequoia and will be provided by Eagle Hydraulics who is to be awarded this contract because at this time the material and services for this repair require parts and specialty knowledge from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Eagle Hydraulics is the OEM and does not authorize third party manufacturers to procure their parts. Eagle Hydraulics is the only known source who can provide these parts. They own the manuals, publications & drawings to which the Coast Guard does not have any rights to. Eagle Hydraulics is the sole proprietor. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC Sequoia. Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of items. NAICS Code # 332511 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800am PST May 1, 2013 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
