Snow Removal, Roads - Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest

This acquisition is for snow removal on roads on the Chelan and Entiat Ranger Districts, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Areas to be cleared under this contract will be identified in task orders. Snow removal work shall include the removal of snow from all or part of the traveled roadway, including sufficient turnouts for safe travel and leaving culvert inlets in natural condition without snow plowed into them so that the drainage system will function normally.

Required equipment is a Class 2 crawler tractor (D-5 or equivalent): 76 to 130 hp; with a six-way blade capable of tilt and angle to both sides; and equipped with shoes or runners to keep the lade at least 4 inches above the road surface.

Government estimate is between $25,000 and $50,000.

Contract performance period is from March 13, 2017, to September 30, 2017.

Service Contract Labor Standards (formerly known as the Service Contract Act of 1965) wage rates, apply.

The Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ). Solicitation will result in a single award, Indefinite Quantity, Time & Materials contract.
This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on the basis of: (1) price; (2) experience; and (3) past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government.

This solicitation will be available on or about MAR. 01, 2017.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
