This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000.  Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to make award to Smith and Wesson, Inc.

The intended agreement will provide parts for Smith and Wesson weapons currently being utilized by ICE.  The original equipment manufacturer doe not authorize other then OEM parts in Smith and Wesson firearms.  The use of parts other than those from the OEM will void existing warranties on weapons systems.

As a result the original equipment manufacturer is the only responsible source to provide Smith and Wesson partrs for Smith and Wesson weapons
