THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A SOLICIATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has a requirement for Mass Transit commuting benefits which consists of Metrorail, Metrobus and regional commuting. The NIH intends to negotiate on a non-competitive, sole source basis Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. The NIH believes WMATA is the only source that can provide Mass Transit commuting benefits. This action is taken under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source). The contract shall be for one year with four twelve-month option period. The NAICS Code is 485111 and the business size is $7.0. Any firm believes it can meet the requirement must submit a detailed capability statement documenting their ability to provide Mass Transit commuting benefits.
