The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), Division of Scientific Resources (DSR), intends to negotiate a sole source contract modification with Cangene Corporation, Winnipeg, Canada, to obtain and maintain the ability to manufacture licensed VIG by establishing and/or maintaining the facilities, procedures, and approvals required to deliver VIG to the CDC Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) plus maintain the current VIG license and maintain a yearly VIG stability and dating extension program beyond 10 years for the current product lots stored in the SNS. The use of other than full and open competition for this acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 United States Code (U.S.C.)253(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulations, Subpart 6.302-1 and 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a Capability Statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement.
