The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to issue a sole source contract to Tegam Inc. (CAGE 49374), for the procurement of forty-one (41) Small Kelvin Probes to support aircraft maintenance at USMC/FMS fleet maintenance support activities. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Procurement The Small Kelvin Probes are commercial off the shelf (COTS) used with the R1I-E2A Micro Ohmmeter and features flat tip pins that will not cause damage to the blade skin or copper mesh on the H-1 Helicopters. The test leads are 8 feet long and are terminated in color spade lugs to connect to the R1L-E2A Micro Ohmmeter. Tegam Inc. has the proprietary rights to the drawings, specifications, and data necessary to provide the required support equipment for this support equipment. In addition, P/N SKP-8F has an AMC code of 3 and AMSC code of H which requires direct purchase from Tegam Inc., the OEM. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
