In accordance with the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source, cost plus fixed fee modification to Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001 Delivery Order 2001 to The Boeing Company for the systems engineering support for oversight in test validation of the Unique Planning Component as incorporated in the SLAM-ER missile system. The anticipated period of performance is 12 months.

Boeing is the sole designer, developer, integrator, and manufacturer of the SLAM-ER missile system. They are the only company with the requisite personnel, facilities, and technical knowledge to satisfy the Government's requirement within the required timeline. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only.
