The 802d Contracting Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base intends to award a purchase order to Skydive San Marcos, for the acquisition of sky diving services and maintenance for a basic year and three one-year option periods, which consist of
Tech Hours for Twin Otter Aircraft (8EA), Tech Hours for Cessna Caravan Aircraft(6EA), Freefall Main Repacking Only(100EA), Tandem Main Repack(25EA), Lift Tickets (250EA), USPA Memberships(15EA).
The proposed requirement is for San Marcos Skydive Program which the Government intends to award to one source under authority of FAR 13.
The Air Force SCUBA School is composed of Combat Control and Pararescue Instructors who are required to meet mandated parachute requirements.
Skydive San Marcos (SSM) is the closest facility that offers this unique service.
SSM is located approximately 90 miles from Lackland AFB TX.
SSM is crucial to the successful and safe operation of the 342 TRS mandated military parachute requirements IAW AFI 11-410, Personnel Parachute Operations.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
However, the government will consider all proposals received within ten business days after date of publication of this notice.
