REQUEST FOR BID Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, San Diego, sealed bids for a lump sum Contract are requested for the following work: SIO HYDRAULICS PRATHER LAB RENOVATION Project Number W10028013 / P4S-876 UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide a new 870 sf pre-fabricated unit for a machine shop and multipurpose room with 344 sf storage mezzanine within the existing hydraulic lab on the Scripps Institute of Oceanography. Improvements include a large existing trench to be filled and capped with a concrete deck, a door and window to be infilled, and the following scope of work: ADA improvements, structural and MEP. Bids are to be submitted electronically via eBuilder bidding module at or before 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2020 for furnishing all labor, materials, services, and equipment to complete the Work described below in accordance with the enclosed Bidding Documents. MANDATORY PRE-BID JOB WALK: A mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk will be conducted on Friday, March 20, 2020 beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m. Only bidders who participate in the Job Walk will be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. For construction value between $300,000 and $640,000, Bidder and its mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractor(s) (if using) shall be qualified under the Universityâs standards prior to award. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: B General Building Contractor.
