NO OTHER CHANGES --------------------------------------- In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source using single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source one-time award to purchase new individual components necessary to support assembly of an ASR-11 Longport data translator unit from the Original Subassembly Equipment Manufacture, Sunhillo Corporation, located at 444 Kelly Dr., West Berlin, New Jersey 08091-9210. This acquisition activity supports the FAA and Department of Defense (DOD) radar systems: Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR), known as Airport Surveillance Radar Model 11 (ASR-11) system. This purchase is for replenishment of existing inventory stock at the FAA Logistics Center. The ASR-11 radar systems commissioned by the FAA and DOD, require only Sunhillo Corporation hardware components (listed below), that were previously upgraded to be manufactured for the sustainment of the aforementioned systems of the hardware and software integrated for all components performed by Sunhillo which guarantees that the assembled ASR-11 Longport data translators will meet the required specifications of the legacy 130290-1-Tl-4P units (Form-Fit-Functional factors).
