The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the following: Additional Upgrades to existing equipment.

The proposed contract action is a logical follow-on to contract TEPJ13-01517 for upgrading the new Simultan Offset Press at WCF for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the following designated source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Accordingly, the BEP intends to award a contract to KBA NotaSys, CH 1000 Lausanne 22, Switzerland. KBA NotaSys owns the proprietary inspection and image management systems.

This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, if any, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 12:00pm EST on Monday, 27 April 2015. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
