PROJECT OVERVIEW: Post-Hurricane Harvey several buildings at LSC-Kingwood were renovated and the associated interior and/or exterior signage for these buildings need to be updated. Three buildings were renamed after the renovation process with signage being updated for the majority of the first floor of each; the remaining signage for these buildings needs to be updated. The former ADM building is now the Technology Instructional Building (TIB), the former HSB Building is now the Science Instructional Building (SIB), and the former PAC Building is now the Administration and Performing Arts Center (APA). Signage being updated on the second floor of the SIB, APA and Classroom Building A (CLA) buildings must match the format and style of the signage located on the first floor of each of these buildings. The TIB building is open to different color schemes but should match the format and style of the campus standards SCOPE OF SERVICES: Lone Star College (LSC) is seeking proposals from qualified bidders to provide interior/exterior signage and installation services for LSC-Kingwood. Qualified sign contractors and installers are requested to provide proposals for the purchase, delivery, and installation/removal services for signage that conforms with the LSC specifications document. The scope includes the signs specified, including but not limited to, all labor, materials, equipment, tools, installation equipment and machinery, and other services necessary for a complete and satisfactory installation. Existing interior/exterior building signage will need to be removed, patched and/or painted (as necessary), and replaced with the updated signage. A smaller percentage of the project will be to install signage where it does not currently exist and/or the removal of department specific signage being replaced with signage that meets the campus standards formatting and/or style of interior/exterior signage must meet specifications. All signage must be in compliance with ADA standards and includes braille. The selected bidder will be responsible for all aspects of procuring, ordering, shipping, receiving, inspecting, staging, and installing signage. Work also includes removal from the site all packaging and other waste materials related to the removal and installation process. This is for a one-time purchase and a contract will be awarded to the contractor that provides the best overall value for LSC. The initial term of a contract resulting from this CSP will be for the duration of the project installation and not exceed five years. PROJECT TIMELINE & BUDGET: The estimated start date for this project is June 01, 2022. The Substantial Completion Date is August 31, 2022. The estimated budget is $75,000.
