The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, data is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document , incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-26. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 423430. This will be a firm fixed price contract for the following : Four (4) NX13100, NX Mach 3 Product Design and Four (4) NX 13100 Maintenance. This software must be compatible with the current software and hardware that the FBI presently owns. Siemens Government Services, Inc., is the sole provider for this software and maintenance. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Siemens Government Services, Inc., Milford, OH 45150. The proposed contract action is for product and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
