This notice is published pursuant to FAR requirement at Subpart 6.305.
The Federal Trade Commission Acquisition Division in Washington DC intends to award a purchase order for services to Siemens Industry, Inc. to obtain maintenance support for switches, valves and related equipment manufactured under the brand names of Siemens, Omnicon, Sportster and Kale. The order will be issued under circumstances of other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements).
Market research and historical acquisition data has led the FTC to conclude that no other single source is available with the requisite knowledge, skill and experience needed to support the peculiar combination of equipment that is installed at the FTC headquarters building in Washington DC. A single source of maintenance for all of this interconnected equipment is required. FTC has determined that it would not be economical or logistically prudent to consider multiple awards to more than one firm for the servicing of the separate brands of devices..
This notice is not a solicitation. No solicitation document will be available (UP FAR 5.202(a)(13)(ii) (or if offer under a GWAC is made by the identified single source under FAR 16.5, then UP FAR 5.202(a)(6)). Telephonic inquiries about this requirement will not be answered. However, other responsible potential offerors may submit information about availability of support services for the cumulative brands of switches valves and related equipment for the FTC to consideration in future acquisitions of this type. Interested parties may submit capability statements to Contract Specialist Jacelyn Stanton (email: [email protected]).
