OBJECTIVE
The objective of the acquisition is to obtain the services of a contractor who can supply the following information to the FMC:
· Records of all imports and exports through U.S. ports
· Information must be available on CD for manipulation and storage by the FMC
· Data on CD would include: all imports and exports, steamship lines, vessel names and vessel IMO number, U.S. ports, foreign ports and countries; commodity information to the 4-digit level; Cargo weight in metric tons, TEU, Conflag (whether a shipment is containerized or not), refrigerated flag and NVOCC cargo
The data received on CD:
· must be in monthly form with not more than a six-week time lag;
· must be furnished in FOCUS and Microsoft Access formats(for subsequent uploaded to SQL Server 2005);
· may be aggregated by FMC staff to produce quarterly and annual reports;
· shall be owned by the FMC and could be used to develop a historical library; and
· older data (not currently on-line) shall be available to the FMC at special discount rates.
