The construction involves reconstruction of Shepherd Avenue and Fowler Avenue at the intersection. the work shall include, but not be limited to, clearing, grubbing, earthwork, grading, saw cutting, compaction, aggregate base, asphalt concrete paving, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, median island curb, stamped concrete median island cap, sewer main, water main, sewer manholes, water valve, traffic signal facilities, striping, and signage. Bids must be filed with the City Clerk at the Clovis Civic Center prior to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at which time the City Clerk will open said bids. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked: "Bid Proposal: Shepherd & N. Fowler Traffic Signal" The contractor shall order all traffic signal material within three (3) days of receiving approval of the submittal. Underground and paving operations will only be allowed between June 13, 2016 and August 19, 2016. Road Closures will not be allowed when school is in session. The contractor may give a written request to put the contract on hold per City Standard Specifications Subsection 8-11, as needed, after road construction is complete until the traffic signal equipment has arrived.
