This announcement is to 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that may be interested in performing a contract for the Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation. . Based upon response to this announcement, the Government may determine to set this acquisition aside or proceed with an unrestricted solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310 and the related small business size standard is $33.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $1M and $5M. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. Work is located at the Shasta Dam approximately 12 miles northwest of Redding in Shasta County, California. The principal components of the work to be performed include: A. Remove existing coating from the structural steel components of the Shasta Dam Spillway Bridge superstructure and bearings, the catwalk support, and the mechanical and electrical utilities that are attached to the underside of the bridge structure. Tests on existing coating have shown evidence of heavy metals. Provide adequate containment of debris during coating removal. B. Followed by appropriate surface preparations, recoat the structural steel components that are listed above. C. Replace and/or tighten fasteners that are either missing or are loose at the rocker bearing assemblies and at the flash board mechanisms.
