This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 - Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items - as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) number SB1341-08-RQ-0391. This solicitation document and incorporated clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures, are being utilized. This is an unrestricted competitive procurement for the following: SGI Altix 3700 Server, Quantity: 1, Unit: Each consisting of: 64x1.5GHz CPUs 512GB RAM 1X-Brink (1) PCI-GIGNET-C-2P (2) PCIX-FC-2PORT-B 2X146GB System HDDs Warranty: 12 months Includes 3 year SUSE10 and Propack 5 license or same configuration/software above with 1 year software license. Delivery shall be FOB DESTINATION. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1; FAR 52.212-3; FAR 52.212-4; FAR 52.212-5; 52.222-3; 52.222-19; 52.222-21; 52.222-26; 52.222-36; 52.222-50; 52.225-13; 52.232-33). These standards are available at http://www.access-board.gov/sec508/508standards.htm. Quotations shall be valid for at least 30 days after quotation submission. QUOTATION SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Offerors shall include the following in their quotation: (1) The solicitation number; (2) The name, address, and telephone number of the offeror; (3) A technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. This may include product literature, or other documents, if necessary; (4) Evidence that the offeror is authorized by SGI to sell the offered solution; (5) Terms of any express warranty; (6) Firm-fixed-price (FOB Destination) for each offered item, and any discount terms; (7) A completed copy of the representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3 (see FAR 52.212-3(k) for those representations and certifications that the offeror shall complete electronically); (8) Acknowledgement of Solicitation Amendments; and, (9) If the offer is not submitted on the SF 1449, include a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions included in the solicitation. Offers that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. All quotations shall be submitted via email so that they are received at [email protected] (with a courtesy copy to [email protected]) no later than August 15, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. EST. EVALUATION FACTORS FOR AWARD: The award will be made to the offeror whose quotations deemed to represent the lowest price, and is technically acceptable.
