****SFPUC Upcoming Contracting Opportunity**** The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) will advertise a construction contract, WW-719B Folsom Area Stormwater Improvements - Alameda St. Tunnel. The SFPUC is actively working on the advertisement and has set a goal to advertise by late September 2024, possibly sooner. Project Description The scope of this project is construct a new 4,000 linear foot stormwater tunnel from approximately the intersection of Alameda St. and Florida St. to the intersection of 7th St. and Berry St. Crews will excavate an entrance shaft, two exit shafts, and a turning spot for a tunnel boring machine. Extensive analysis has been done to evaluate the location of the tunnel and portals, and monitoring equipment will be used during construction. Visit https://webapps.sfpuc.org/bids/ for updates.
