Subject: Operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants at Leech Lake and Sandy Lake Recreation Areas
Places of Performance: Leech Lake Recreation Area, Federal Dam, MN (Cass County) AND Sandy Lake Recreation Area, McGregor, MN (Aitkin County)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, tools and materials necessary to operate, repair, maintain and perform testing for wastewater (sewage) treatments plants (STPs), bar screens, and lift stations at Leech Lake and Sandy Lake Recreation Areas in Federal Dam (Cass County) and McGregor (Aitkin County) Minnesota, respectively. Onsite performance will be from 15 April to 31 October.

The solicitation will be a Request for Quotes, resulting in one Firm-Fixed Price contract for one year, with four additional option years, exercisable unilaterally by the Government.

This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a notice that a solicitation for a small business competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.

The solicitation will contain the response deadline. It is estimated that quotes will be due not less than 15 days after the solicitation is issued. This time frame is an estimate and subject to change. The definitive quote due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued.

In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). All Offerors must be registered in SAM, have an active account, and have completed the Representations & Certification sections (FAR and DFARS) prior to receiving an award.
