The SGVCOG is seeking proposals from service providers to support the implementation of the SGVCOG’s Workforce Development Program (Program). Service providers will support the program planning, intake and enroll participants into the Program and provide case management services to participants throughout the duration of the program. The goal of the program is to enhance participants’ access to employment and create a pathway to economic security by providing specialized trainings, paid experience, and support in obtaining long-term paid employment. The SGVCOG is partnering with organizations, such as Pallet and Habitat for Humanity, to provide subsidized employment and on-the-job training for up to 50 participants. It is anticipated that participants will work part time - approximately twenty hours per week - over the course of eighteen weeks. The provider will be responsible for workforce development training, connecting participants to jobs with partner employment providers, and offering case management and other wrap-around services to remove barriers to program participation.
