This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to solicit a quote and enter into a contract with Phillips Healthcare
Philips Healthcare is the only known vendor that can performs system upgrades support EKG services agreement to Clinical Center, Critical care Medicine Department that allow clinicians to obtain historical EKG data, manage quality control of EKG's performed and capture/ track EKG activity of the clinical center institutes. Philips Healthcare has existing services to the CCMD and has continuing need under this order. Additionally, Philips Healthcare is the sole owner and provider of patented and proprietary technology, hardware, and software, required to maintain provide EKG services in the Clinical Center. EKG software system is customized and have been developed to fully integrated into the Clinical Center Hospital information System. Therefore, it has been determined that there is no other vendor with the necessary skill that can meet the complexity or specificity requires to support the entire EKG system within the needed timeframe at the Clinical Center.
This procurement was conducted as a Sole Source Acquisition and received justification and approval in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.
The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this
announcement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to
Establish bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. All responses must be received no later
than October 15, 2012 at 12:00PM, EST. The resultant contract will be for delivery within 30 days
