The Serial and Government Publications Division (SER) of the Library of Congress (Library) requires a contractor to prepare serials for binding and manage the online inventory of the bound serials. SER requires a contractor to pull loose serial issues from the stacks, organize and collate the issues, and tie them together into a bindable unit. In addition, the contractor will ensure that each bindable unit is barcoded and that the unit's information is properly entered into the Library's integrated library system (LC-ILS) in order to maintain proper inventory of serial issues.
