The USG is a major donor to the GOH with respect to elections and political processes support. Many donors, other USG agencies, and parts of the USAID mission, are involved in one or more aspects of this portfolio, committed to collaboration, but communication and coordination remain a constant challenge. USAID will be implementing projects relating to election oversight, domestic observation, electoral violence monitoring and mitigation, women's political participation, technical assistance to the Provisional Electoral Commission (CEP) on communications and inclusion of traditionally marginalized populations and other activities which will require strategic planning and close cooperation with GOH officials and other donors and strong professional direction to USAID implementing partners.
