Solicitation GPO-32174-R2 - The US Government Publishing Office requires the purchase and installation of a Variable Pressure Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (VP-FE-SEM) equipped with Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), Secondary Electron (SE) capture, Variable Pressure (VP) detector, Backscatter Electron (BSE) detector Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and Wavelength Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS) along with the purchase of the VP-FE-SEM sample mounting and surface preparation equipment capable of sputter coating, rough grinding up to and including molecular ion millling.  Contractor must provide a Certified Professional to provide onsite training classes to instruct up to five (5) of GPO's personnel in operating procedures of the new instrument and detectors.  See the attached solicitation.
