Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Harrington Seed Destructors

Solicitation Number: AG-32SC-S-14-0044.

The USDA, ARS intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) "Sole Source (including brand name) Acquisitions" based upon there being only one responsible source that is capable of meeting the Government's requirement. The USDA intends to solicit and negotiate with De Bruin Engineering for two Harrington Seed Destructors.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all inquiries received within 7 days after date of publication of this market survey will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any resulting procurement would be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13. An award notice for De Bruin Engineering may be posted on FBO in the near future.
