The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. The work for which proposals are requested will generally consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following: This project involves the removal and replacement of sixteen (16) existing skylights from the north building of the City of Prospect Heights Public Works building complex, located at 401 Piper Lane. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of TEN (10) percent of the total bid amount, made payable to the City of Prospect Heights shall accompany the bid. The City of Prospect Heights reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the City.
