The St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (Corporation) plans to issue an Invitation For Bids (IFB) for sealing approximately 120 linear feet of concrete joints under the roadway and behind the steel wall liner in the highway tunnel that carries vehicular traffic under the upstream end of Eisenhower Lock in Massena, New York. The work will require removal of asphalt pavement and concrete, cutting of the steel liner, installation of seals, cover plates, insulation and drain pipes, and replacement/patching of concrete and asphalt pavement. The tunnel must remain open to traffic throughout the project as this tunnel is the only means of access to the New York Power Authority’s Generating Station, a New York State Park and to the north side of Snell Lock. The work is to commence on or about September 15, 2009 and is to be completed by November 15, 2009. The cost range of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. There is a $10.00 US funds non-refundable fee for a CD with drawings, or $60.00 US funds non-refundable fee for hard/paper copies of drawings. The IFB package will be issued on or about August 10, 2009 with a response date of September 9, 2009. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded.
