The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to TA Instruments Inc., on other than full and open competitive basis a contract for 1 each Q600 SDT Simultaneous DSC-TGA Equipment provides a true measurement of heat flow (DSC) and weight change (TGA) on the same sample from ambient to 1500 deg. C. DSC noise is <4 microwatts and the TGA balance sensitivity is 0.1 microgram P/N: 961000.901, 1 each Kit Ethernet Switch; for communication between a Q Series module and an external controller P/N: 924500.602, to include Thermal Installation and Training. (Microsoft IE required). Additional specifications will appear in the RFQ. Sole source is based on equipment being compatible to TA Instruments Inc. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
