Clark Construction Group - California, LP (Clark) and San Diego State University (SDSU) are requesting Statements of Qualifications for various construction services for the Aztec Football Stadium at SDSU. The project generally consists of: An expandable 35,000 Seat multi-use stadium that can support collegiate football, professional and collegiate soccer, NCAA championship games, concerts and other events. The stadium occupies about 20 acres in the northwest portion of the approximately 170 acre former SDCCU stadium site. Aztec Stadium is designed to be the stadium to meet the needs of the entire San Diego Community. The stadium and all associated areas will be designed with the Southern California climate in mind. This allows the opportunity to take advantage of the year-round mild temperatures and limited rainfall to minimize the amount of conditioned space that must be built throughout the stadium and concourse. Minimizing traditional buildout, especially on the concourse, will allow long term flexibility to meet the shifting demographics and needs of those attending events. The use of open areas with outdoor furniture, shade structures, unique lighting and varieties of food and beverage options will encourage interaction and building a sense of community throughout San Diego. We are currently seeking qualified subcontractors for the following trades: Scoreboards & LED Display Systems, Video Production, Structured Cabling, Data Communications Network Equipment, Wireless Access Points, IP Phone System, Audio Visual Equipment, IPTV System, Broadcast Cabling System, Security Systems, Installation of TV Displays & Mount. A DVBE goal of 10% is requested, and Clark strongly encourages bids from small, disadvantaged, minority and women owned subcontractors and suppliers. Subcontractors will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds.
